Thoughtfully crafted. Carefully chosen.
CraftEase brings together artisan’smade pieces for everyday living — from pottery and textiles to woodwork, candles, and jewellery. Our collection celebrates the materials, the craft, and the human touch behind each piece, and the people whose hands made them.
We are a deliberately small marketplace. We would rather show you fewer things, properly explained, than a fast-moving catalogue. Take your time, look closely, and choose well.
Why handmade, and why it is never quite identical
A handmade piece carries the decisions of the person who made it: how the clay was wedged, how much tension the loom held, where the timber was cut and how long it was left to settle. Those decisions leave marks. Small differences in glaze depth, grain, weight and colour are not flaws — they are evidence of a process that a machine cannot shortcut.
Because of that we describe every piece in plain language and set expectations honestly before you buy. If a glaze will shift a little between firings, we say so. If a linen throw will soften and settle with use, we say that too. Nothing here is factory-perfect, and that is the point.
The crafts we work with
Pottery & Ceramics
Thrown, hand-built, and wheel-thrown stoneware and earthenware — mugs, vases, tea sets, platters, and dinnerware. Glazes are mixed in the studio and fired in small kiln loads, so colour can move slightly from firing to firing. Unglazed foot rings are left unglazed on purpose, so the piece sits quietly on your table.
Textiles
Handwoven throws, wall hangings, table runners, and linen sets worked on traditional looms. Linen and wool soften and settle beautifully with use. Slubs and small irregularities in the thread are part of the weave rather than a defect, and we photograph each piece as it actually leaves the studio.
Woodwork
Carved boards, serving boards, scoops, catchall trays, and small hearth sculptures cut from hardwoods. Every piece is finished with food-safe oils and waxes rather than lacquer, so it can be re-oiled when it needs it. Grain and figure differ from one piece to the next — that is how you recognise the board you chose.
Candles & Scents
Hand-poured candles in reusable vessels, alongside resin bundles, incense bundles, and room mists. Scented pieces are blended in small batches, so a particular fragrance may rest for a little while before burning. We list burn time and vessel size on every listing.
Jewelry & Glass
Beaded necklaces and bracelets, hoop and drop earrings, hand-blown bud vases, and recycled glass tumblers. Metal findings are plated rather than solid, which we state plainly on the listing. Glass is blown by hand, so bubbles, seams, and slight asymmetry are expected and welcome.
How we choose what to list
We keep the collection short on purpose. A piece earns its place here when we can tell you who made it, what it is made from, and how it was finished — and when the maker is happy for us to describe their process honestly. If we cannot answer those three questions, we do not list the piece, however beautiful it is.
Small batches also mean genuinely limited quantities. When a run is gone, it is often gone. We would rather tell you that plainly than restock a shape and pretend it is the same thing.
Direct maker support
Eighty-five per cent of what you pay goes directly to the artisan who made your piece. We keep our own margin small and our curation honest, because a marketplace that eats the difference between a maker and their customer is not doing either of you a favour.
Producers keep their names and their pricing. We do not ask an atelier to undercut a previous one to win a listing, and we do not sell the same piece under a different maker.
Packaging, shipping, and the slow part
Every order is wrapped in plastic-free, recyclable packaging — paper and corrugate only. We do not use plastic void fill or decorative ribbon.
Studio shipping is free on artisan orders over ৳6,150. Below that, delivery is charged at cost and shown in full at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises at the last step. Pieces are dispatched from the studio that made them, which sometimes means a slower delivery than a warehouse could manage — and sometimes means your board travelled less distance.
We pack for the journey rather than for the photograph. If your piece arrives and something is not right with it, tell us before you use it.
Our promise
Every order is covered by our Artisan Guarantee: thirty days to return a piece that is materially different from how we described it, or that arrived damaged. Returns on personalised or commissioned pieces cannot be accepted, and we flag those clearly before you buy.
If a piece is smaller or lighter than you imagined, that is on us to have communicated — reach out and we will help you decide before you commit. A question is always cheaper than a disappointment.
Come and see the work
Some of our makers run studio workshops. If you would like to learn more about a particular craft, or to visit a workshop, get in touch and tell us the discipline you are interested in and any dates or locations that suit you.
Thank you for buying slowly and choosing well. It is the single best thing you can do for the people who made the things you live with.
If anything here is unclear, send our team a note — a real person reads every message, and we would rather answer a question before an order than after one.
